Section 260
Provisions relating to call of witnesses or production of evidence
(1) If a case is filed in accordance with section 254, the person who makes a complaint or gives information in that regard shall be considered as a witness of the opposing party.
(2) In cases filed under Section 254 and other civil cases in which the government of Nepal or the state government is the defendant, the relevant officer shall be present or provide witnesses or evidence on the day sought by the court through the government lawyer.
(3) In cases filed under section 254 and in any other civil case involving the government of Nepal or the state government, the public prosecutor shall be the witness or present the evidence.
(4) In cases filed under section 254, if any witness is not to be understood, the impeachment shall be understood as the impeachment of a witness who is not comprehensible in a criminal case.
